Pumpkin Week!

This week is "Pumpkin Week" at preschool! It is only my second week as head teacher but it has been so much fun! Stressful, but fun. I spent my day today shopping for mini pumpkins and then spraying them with chalkboard spray paint so the kiddos can draw faces on them with chalk. I have to admit, I played with one for a while and I wish I had made myself an extra!

Also today, I had a fiasco getting to my last class in time only to find it had been cancelled. I was relieved and a little TOed at the same time. Though I did burn a few calories running from my car to make it in time!

Rainy Tuesday

Fall is in the air and I am beginning to feel out of the loop since I am not a "blogger". So... here goes! I have decided that accomplishing a dreaded task is one of the best feelings in the world. For example, when I was younger, the biggest obstacle for me to jump over every year was getting a flu shot. Even today, when I give myself multiple insulin shots every day, I fear that one little prick of a flu shot. However, the moment the band-aid is stuck to my shoulder I feel a great sense of joy and relief.

Similarly today I had 3 major tasks to accomplish: a Humanities test to take, an ELED paper to write and a Psychology quiz to finish. I woke up feeling like the day would never end. Even though I most likely failed the Humanities test, I was relieved that it was over and I could put it out of my mind (at least until I recieve my score via email). I then moved on to writing my paper. Once that was done it seemed the sun started shining a little brighter (through the rain pouring outside the window). Finally, after 3 attempts, I passed my Psych quiz with 95%. Now my day, that started off full of dread, is open and I am free to write this blog.

Halloween is coming up and I positively can't wait! Despite the fact that I have been called to rehearsal that entire night, I just love Halloween time! My favorite part of Halloween is attending my grandma's Halloween party. Every year she fixes 2 kinds of soup and Sloppy Joe's. (Joes? Joe's?) She also has the best decorations out there including a wooden black cat that holds donuts on his tail! Getting together with my cousins and Trick-or-Treating around her neighborhood was one of the highlights of my year. Even now I look forward to it for 364 days after Halloween!

As I write this blog I am wondering who decided to make it so you can't TAB your paragraphs. Why?! I am a firm believer in TABBING all of my documents. This brings me to a question I have had my whole life...who decides on the noises for computers? I mean... who wrote the "Window's Soundtrack". You all know what I mean....The "Dun dun dun duuun" that plays every time you boot up your computer? Who decided that should be the tune? This brings me to another burning question... who came up with that annoying default ring that everyone's phone has? I believe it is just called AT&T tone. I do submit that is the most annoying sound in the universe. And...it is always the ringtone of that annoying person at the movies who forgets to silence their cell. Good grief!

Well that is about all I've got for today. I am off to buy my dogs some Halloween costumes! :)
