Florida Adventure

This past week John and I went on our biggest adventure of our marriage!  John's parents invited us to spend a week with them in Florida and we couldn't pass up the chance!  It was PERFECT!
The plane ride there was not my favorite part.  Johnson did pretty well but definitely didn't love it.  However, he did love getting his diaper changed in the Detroit airport. :)

On our first day we drove all around Florida looking at places from John's childhood.  We saw the hospital where he was born, the house he was brought home to, the second house he lived in, his first school and Forrest's workplaces.  It was so fun to hear all of their fun stories and get to see where John started his life!
Day two we went to Magic Kingdom!  It was SUPER hot, but definitely a great day!  Johnson was a good sport about riding in his stroller and wearing a funny hat.

 First stop, Small World!

 Johnson LOVES "Flying" with Dad!

 Jungle Cruise
 Chillin with Grandpa

I have always dreamed of taking my kids to Disney and getting them personalized Mickey ears.  Don't you love my cute model husband too?

Day two we spent at Epcot!

 Seuss Land was pretty epic.

My favorite part of the trip was Harry Potter land.  I cried a little as we walked through the castle.  It was a dream come true!  Johnson even wore his Harry Potter onesie :)

Drinking a butterbeer in the Hog's Head!

Jurassic Park land was super sweet as well.  Except when John took me on a ride with a huge drop without telling me.  Never....again...

We rented a house while we were there and it had a pool.  We were so excited to take Johnson swimming since he loves his bath so much.  He was pretty indifferent about the whole experience.  He didn't laugh, or cry.  He just sucked on his fingers.
He did, however, love getting out of the pool and was completely tuckered out once he was clean and dressed!

Thursday night we went back to Magic Kingdom for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.  This was another one of my favorites from the trip!  Johnson wore his Mickey suit and was such a cutie. They had hot chocolate and cookie stands set up through the park and Christmas music playing.  It also snowed on Main Street and we saw the most amazing parade.  The highlight of the night was the fireworks show.  Definitely the best I've ever seen!  Such a magical night!

On Friday, Ruth had a conference to go to so we went to Animal Kingdom with Forrest.  This was a replica of the most complete TRex skeleton ever found.  Amazing!
My favorite part was our safari ride!
On our final night in Florida we went back to Epcot to celebrate Ruth and Forrest's 40th wedding anniversary.  We had dinner at the most amazing French restaurant.  Johnson wasn't feeling well and was pretty grumpy but the food was amazing!  I couldn't pass up a chance of getting a photo of my cute in laws in front of the Eiffel Tower on their anniversary!  They are such a blessing in our lives and Johnson loves them just as much as we do!

Now we are back to work, school and daycare and missing our wonderful trip.  It was definitely one of the highlights of my life and I will never forget it!

4 Months

Four months already!!!!???  Where did the time go!  This month has been CRAZY!  Johnson turned 4 months while we were in Florida with the Blairs, but I will post about that in another post.  Here are some of this month's highlights.

I couldn't get him to take his fingers out of his mouth for a picture so....here it is.  I swear he is teething!
My students are still in love with him!  Here is a picture of him with a portion of the art my students made for him in ONE DAY!  I come home with stacks of things on a daily basis.  So cute!
Here is one of the many outfit of the day pics I take of him in the morning.  This morning as I was getting him dressed John said "Ok, time to take a picture of his outfit for instagram!" :)  I might be a little out of control!
This might be my favorite picture ever!  Johnson's Halloween costume didn't come in time for the Blair family party so he had to wear this bunny costume.  It was my sister Vanessa's when she was little and almost everyone in my family has worn it.  I don't think he liked it much, but I thought he looked perfect!
Ester and I used to go on walks with Milo....now we go on walks...all EIGHT of us!
 Another outfit of the day
Johnson enjoyed an afternoon at Grandma Ruth's watching football with his cousin Creed
Tubby time is still his favorite, and mine.
 Seriously....one more sad bunny pic.
Johnson's daycare lady sent me this picture in the shirt he "made" at daycare!
 Patty cakes with Grandma Laurie
I joke that Johnson looks big enough to babysit the twins and thought it would be funny to let him hold Scarlet.  He obviously LOVED it!
Getting some love from the cousins during General Conference.
These poor kids have to go on walks with their lame moms.  Just kidding...they love it!
There is still a huge size difference in Johnson and the twins.  It is amazing how much babies grow in just a couple of months!
This was his FIRST Halloween costume (he had 4)
Johnson got to come to school on Halloween with John for my class party.  We both dressed like Ninja Turtles.

Another...not so highlight...of our month was Johnson's first illness.  He was so miserable and it broke my heart!  It was the first time he ever cried real tears.  It ended up being just a cold, but he had to stay home from daycare two days.  The first day he stayed home with me and screamed the entire day.  On day two, John stayed with him and when I came home they were having the time of their lives watching Netflix.  Go figure...
 KISSES
Another milestone happened this month!  We upgraded to 8 oz bottles.  I will admit, I cried a bit.  My baby is getting too big!
"I want to ride my Uncle Ben.  I want to ride my Ben...."
 Daddy gets all the snuggles!
Another favorite picture.  I promise he LOVES Uncle Chris.  But we woke him up from his nap for this picture and he definitely showed us how he felt about it!
 AGH!
 Matchy outfits from Gma Laurie

 His face kills me!

Halloween outfit 4.  Dobby and Harry Potter.  Not sure why these pictures came out in the wrong order...
 Outfit of the day.
We got season tickets to the Aggie games again this year and it is 100 times more fun with Johnson!  He loved watching and was such a good boy!  He even did the Scotsman...kindof
He is still the cutest, best baby in the whole wide world!  I honestly couldn't have asked for a better kid.  He only wakes up once per night and rarely cries.  I love him more and more each day!
