How is it already 10 months since my little guy was born?! Seriously! Here are a few updates/highlights from this month!
First of all, Mother's Day. My first Mother's Day! It was perfect. When John woke up he took Johnson out of the room and they came back and Johnson was carrying a rose with a huge smile on his face! They gave me a gift card, some candy and a card that said "I love you Mommy!" I cried a little. So sweet. I also got to take a NAP!
First, Johnson LOVES food. There is nothing he loves more! He is content to eat baby snacks until John and I start eating something else, then he MUST have our food or he flips! The other night, I was helping my mom babysit Sage and Scarlet and she made one of them a bottle and walked it across the room to her. Johnson screamed, dragged himself dramatically over to her, threw himself at her feet, reaching for the bottle. So pathetic! But seriously, he loves food. Especially food that other people are eating! He often steals from his buddy at daycare too.
He now has 5 teeth (3 on top, 2 on bottom) and one more that is starting to push through! He has been a trooper with all of the teething. He has had a few fevers, but nothing too serious. He has also had a mucousy cough for about 3 months. I haven't taken him in yet because a few other moms have said it will clear up on its own. It hasn't...so I think I will take him in this week. It doesn't seem to bother him, and no one else has gotten sick, but I worry.
Another hobby we have picked up is hiking. John and I found an awesome deal on a baby backpack and we have been putting it to good use! Johnson loves it (mostly touching John's hair)
He is OBSESSED with his cousin, Milo. The second he sees or hears him he does his "happy dance" and starts giggling. It is the cutest thing to watch! They share food and chase each other all over. Milo gets so excited when Johnson learns new things like how to climb the stairs. They have so much fun, as long as Johnson doesn't "make a huge mess", or "eat" Milo's toys :)
Johnson has slept through the night about three times which is awesome. He still wakes up grumpy during the night, but I give him a binky and he goes back to sleep. No more of the 3-5 bottles in the night! He is still sleeping in my bed because I love it. I usually put him down in his pack and play and then transfer him to my bed when I go to bed. He is my little bud!
He has also been waking up with some SERIOUSLY crazy hair!
He is the BEST thing that has ever happened to us. I was thinking today about my life, and I honestly wouldn't trade ANYTHING about my life right now. I am so happy!
